Great Backyard Bird Watch 2011 This Weekend!
http://www.birdsource.org/gbbc/howto.html
Friday, February 18, through Monday, February 21. Please join us!
The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual four-day event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are across the continent. Anyone can participate, from beginning bird watchers to experts. It takes as little as 15 minutes on one day, or you can count for as long as you like each day of the event. It's free, fun, and easy—and it helps the birds. We'll be adding updated GBBC materials for the next count as they become available.
What you need to do:
Ask your parent to register you and then send Mrs. Winkler an email ( I need to know how many girls will be participating)
Completer the bird watching results Feb 18- Feb 21
Send Mrs. Winkler an email saying you completed GBYBW2011
Its that easy!
Happy Bird watching~

We need your Help
Dear
Parents,
This
December our local leaders Christmas party is also an Investiture / Rededication. As Leaders we will rededicate ourselves to
our girls and the Girl Scout Ideals. Throughout our area we also have many
dedicated leaders, co leaders and support personal that help train, provide
last minute answers and dedicate countless hours to our troop who will do the
same.
If
possible, we would like volunteers to contribute to the potluck by providing a
Main dish, Side dish, Salad, drink or dessert.
Please
contact Wendy if you are able to help out.
Yours in
Scouting,
Wendy

Subject: HELP, PLEASE
Dear Friends,
We have just found out that the food
pantry at Riverside
Township is
empty. Our village and a
friend both gave cash
donations to help start
it again., but we decided with Sue
and Guy that we would start collecting now ,
nonperishable food, not
expired Please bring next week to the village or
We send many people there and we have to
have a lot to keep it going
esp. over winter months.
