MARCH- Animal Conservation, Education and Assistance Month

March 9th Meeting: Girls will be attending a local animal shelter where they will help the girls learn more about animals and animal care. This is in following our 2010 theme of Conservation, Recycling and Earth Awareness. Renata Coffey will be organizing this meeting as I will be out of town. Please look back here in the next weeks for copies of the permission slip. Any parent who is able to chaperon would be greatly welcomed.

Earth Hour is a global event organized by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature, also known as World Wildlife Fund) and is held on the last Saturday of March annually, asking households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and other electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.

Any family that would like to participate in earth hour will qualify for a Conservation patch for the back of her uniform. To Participate. a parent must go to : http://www.earthhour.org/Homepage.aspx

and sign up for the pledge. Please email me once this step is complete so I know how many patches to order. Once Earth hour is complete. Please email me of your families successful completion of Earth Hour 2010.
